#Tombstone #ValKilmer #DocHoilday
Doc always stole the show just like they stole his oscar just the cup twirling won him
Plot twist: The cup was full.
This scene was written well. Quite well for a western too.
Can we also take a moment to appreciate Michael Biehn for his portrayal of Johnny Ringo?
Michel Biehen - killed in every movie
in one hundred years the world would be starting the computer revolution, bad guys would be using different methods. the casino would be an entire building and incorporated by forty years.... history
Nice way to milk it as a callback to the Star Wars cantina scene for the historically ignorant. Wyatt's shotgun under the table, I mean.
When you are as good as Doc you don't need to prove yourself. The thing with the cup was hilarious
Ringo seems like a character who dreamed of being like Doc Holliday when he was little and now has gotten cocky - tryna prove himself and wants to replace Doc xD
I’m everybody’s huckleberry.
"Look darling its Johnny Ringo....what do ya thing darling, should I hate him?"
"Nope. I'm sure of it...I hate him!"
Johnny Ringo: look at how good I am. Val Kilmer: just give me my damn Oscar!
I think 'Hollywood' hated this movie.. - triggered by the overwhelming amount of testosterone ?!?!
Johnny couldn't do nothing but laugh himself lmao.damn i love this movie
That's Latin darling, evidently Mr. Ringo is an educated man, now I really hate him. Holiday knew this because knowing Latin use to be part of a formal education.
So much star power in this one scene.
Doc letting him know, "that don't mean nothin'".
thats what i thought,he wasnt showing his skills with a cup he was more saying look i can do what u just did with this measly cup lol
“Ladies And Gentleman Dat Was Sum Mighty Amazing Baton Twirling From JR But, Ringo, You Forgat To Add Your Rainbow Ribbon to it! Dat Mustache Flex wuz a nice touch btw hermano.”-Drunk Doc Holiday
Wish I didn't know that Jonny Ringo didn't know Latin. And Doc went to tears after the shooting by the OK Corral. That's Hollywood
You can't buy loyalty like that from a friend
Greatest performance EVER IN A MOVIE, VAL KILMER AS DOC HOLLIDAY
Doc’s cup spinning was on drunk point
I liked law dog also, he did pretty good to me
"Yeeah, I heard ya the first time. Winner, to the king, 500 dollars." Even while declaring his enemy a winner and handing him money, he can sound bored, and condescending to this maniac outlaw gangster. And Virgil, who was watching everything closely, anticipated the winning hand, had the money all counted out and tossed it down like 'here's your money, scumbag.'
This is the scene where Doc discovers he's a faster gunslinger than Ringo. And he doesn't kill him for ego, or pride. He kills him for Wyatt. It's not ego, or pride, because he KNOWS he's faster than Ringo right now. And he chooses to let Ringo walk away thinking he'd rattled him.
@Jon Jay perhaps! I think maybe it's more that Doc doesn't give off that air of fear that everyone else has around Ringo? That he can blatantly just make fun of the wild tiger in the casino, rather than cower and grovel like everyone else!
Naw Ringo knew when Doc repeated his routine with the cup that doc was faster! That’s why Ringo stated he was just fooling about when they both were sober!
Doc the fastest gun in the west ...Even with “Covid-cough🤔🤔
Best scene ever
He's no daisy! He's no daisy at all!
I'll say this val Kilmer played a better doc holiday than Dennis Quaid did in Wyatt erupt with Kevin Costner
In pace resquiate Bill Paxton.
What no one has ever, to my knowledge, mentioned is the fact that Doc actually copied every move with his cup that Ringo made with his pistol. You have to watch close, it shows how sharp Doc's mind really is. Poor Ringo is not even of the same caliber as Doc Holiday.
2:43 is the moment Johnny Ringo died. It just took a while for it to happen.
For someone dying of Tuberculosis, he sure doesn't cough much does he. One tough hombre. 😆
One of the best renenac of doc.
One of the greatest movies ever made.
Damn I love this movie!!
“Say When.”
Proto Typical Mexican BS.
Definitely a top 5 western Ever!
Is Doc constantly fever or what?
MATTHEW 25 KING JAMES VERSION 25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Anybody hear after The Mandalorian?
Kilmer almost ....almost stole the show from Kurt. There is something to be said about having an incurable disease like TB. Who would want to suffer from suffocation as a death medium? It gives you the ability to be able to do things that might be fatal without even blinking an eye. I heard Kilmer studied this character's part in-depth, and it shows.
Battle of the Alphas... who wins??? The strongest, maybe? The brashest, could be? My bet is on the wittiest, though. The person who has the fast rebuttals and comebacks (with humor) will win 9-out-of-10 times. 1-out-of-10, the strongest will just make a fist fight out of it (neutralizing someone's wit lol). 90% of the time, however, a person with lightning fast wit, can best any duel (provided, that it is not a gun duel :-). Peace Y'all. Man, what a great performance from Val Kilmer--totally nailed!!
funny
With an unbelievable cast like this it makes Val Kilmer’s portrayal of Doc Holiday all the more extraordinary. That must’ve been some year for movies at the Oscars. I can’t remember who the major winners were, but this should’ve been one of them. no
That's the rumor
When Men were Men . And there was no gray area between Good & Evil .
Val should've won an Oscar for this role! 💗
Superb.
"Winner to the King. Five hundred dollars." Wow! That seems like alot for that time period.
I learned how to play Faro because of this scene
Pretty sure he stole that hundred dollar bill off the poor guy who wanted an autograph lol.
This movie is a little cheesy. Kasdans Wyatt Earp is better.
Doc hoilday is always wasted
RIP Powers Boothe :(
Ocean front property
good movie
It's funnier if you show closed captioning. I sure hope deaf people don't use this to learn Latin. "I take what are G's" 😂
Iya ya Allah.
Hey Christina!
And the whole time, Wyatt Earp had his hand on that sawed off 10 gauge just waiting to cut someone in half.
"Well go on then skin that smoke wagon"
And still to this day doc holiday remains more myth than man. The book was so much better think I still owe the library for that one
You Hollywood that how you make a great Movie good writing and damn good cast.
that was some of the best fried pork chops to ever grace my face
The best "western" movie ever, and top 3 all time IMO. Val Kilmer's performance was equal to Heath Ledger as the Joker in the Dark Knight! Both were amazing!
I love this scene
Val Kilmer forever!
...he's no daisy
fook off
who mis watching in 20201 i8 fooking am
You can't fucking do this to me. You can't startle me with the image of this sweaty ass dying ass beautiful man who I've fallen for even though he died hundreds of years ago of tuberculosis.
im in my prime jajajaja
"I was just foolin' about." "I wasn't."
It’s not that he didn’t win an Oscar he wasn’t even nominated. How does that even happen???
His Best Role!
2021
Doc got himself a ride or die chick.
And he just showed doc all he needed!
Drunk a$$ Doc Holiday didn't even flinch when Ringo drew his gun! lol!
The puzzling place exemplarily water because mole timely try besides a roomy kenneth. godly, knotty honey
Yang milih allah like 40000 ya.
No Soy Boys or Man Buns allowed.
Mr. Val this was his movie... my reply to the bad guy- Looks can be deceiving. Doc Holliday- what a great role and talent, Oscar please. A legend!
0:11 xx
For anyone curious how Doc Holiday became an outlaw, it was for chasing blacks out of town with a shotgun for stealing their hangout area in town by a pool. There were dozens of them who kept taking their territory in town and he had enough. Didn't shoot any of them but threatened them all with serious intent.
There are varying accounts. It was either the Withlacoochie river or a "swimming hole" on his uncles land depending on the account. He also either threatened to shoot, or did actually shoot two people as they exited the water. Whatever happened it was evidently enough to cause him to leave Georgia for Dallas, Texas at age 22. However, he was also diagnosed with Tuberculosis around this time and a common treatment for it was to move out west to hotter, drier climates. So he may have left for that reason alone. Historians have tried to pinpoint whether this shooting incident actually took place with no real success. If it happened, it didn't make the local newspapers and members of the Holliday family dispute it.
It’s one of those movies where every line is an immortal quote. “Hey loving man, you been called”.
Pretty sure Wyatt Earp's mustache powered the Death Star. How else could it destroy planets?
Ringo made a critical mistake when he drew his gun, Doc got to see how fast he really is and knew from then on he was faster so would be calm and confident every time they'd meet and when they'd finally face off. Next time they meet and Ringo is drunk, Doc is all too happy to face him and already has one gun drawn behind his back to pull if Ringo reached for it, he was not only faster, but smarter.
THE STAR NOTES YOU SLIP ME IN MY MONEY SURE ARE PRETTY !!!!
YOU MEAN THE PEDOPHILES WATCHING ME INSIDE OF MY HOME , DONT LET YOUR CHILDREN SUFFER YOUR KARMA BOYS !!!!!
I like that allways cover your mate
He seems to be an educated man....now I really hate him!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've watched this scene a thousand times. Still makes my balls tingle
Ich bin deine Heidelbeere...
Val Kilmer was phenomenal in this role. His delivery was perfect each and every time. His lines were priceless. His character 100% believable, thereby creating the absolute suspension of disbelief. Regardless of politics he should have won the Oscar.
One of the best westerns ever made. You tell him im coming and hells coming with me..Awesome!
*This is why Ringo died.*
What's the most important part , the lines to work with , or the acting , these are Tarantino lines , the actor stands or falls with lines , the same for musician , if the best one , let's say Virgil Donati plays, : Happy birthday to you ,can you distinguish the Man , from an other ?!
u wanna see the bitch on commercial before commencing this title ? ? ?
Melhor filme de faroeste
