The Life and Times of Johnny Dildo, sorry, Hildo. When he kills seven people because they didn’t know pronounce his subname
I don't get it... Why are these sketches considered "dark" or "disturbing"... When Comedy is purely Subjective and it's an Obvious Parody and Reflection of the society and the world at large? It's obviously a Parody/Satire and Comedy when YOU as the Viewer are IN on the joke?
uncle buck babysitting 2 young girls
Thought we were gonna actually get to watch the sketches. Instead we get told the skits. Yawn
@Jon Sumner Oh my goodness, oh my gosh. Thank GOD you were here to spell it out for me. I NEVER would have understood that on my own without your intervention. Good golly I wish I was half as smart as you! Thank you, THANK YOU for taking time out of your busy day to provide me with instruction that would have been completely beyond me had you not been here to set me on the right course! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Buck Henry as Uncle Roy, the babysitting uncle...
Pleh! Pleh! I know, it wasn't a sketch
who could forget "Massive Headwound Harry"....and then when the dog starts licking his head....funny, disgusting..... both
I nominate the film from the early 80's about the evils of playing video games, with the prematurely aged 11 year old and the child prostituting herself for one quarter at a time.
Buck Henry's Uncle Pervy sketch is number 0ne on this list.
This should be a top 25 dark sketches list...
You guys love making mountains out of anthills
Ryan Reynolds is hilarious as Donny Osmond. Also, can we get him with Andy Samberg in a buddy cop movie?
Didn't mention The Rock as the child molesting robot.
Boy scouts, hillarious..
I laughed way too hard at the robot sketch with the rock. Only because i guessed what the robot did.
These are far from dark come on 🙄
The Almost Pizza skit is so lame. I dont see why people think its funny. Its not
Kind of weird that there are no sketches pre 90s on here.
Jeeze I feel bad for current cast members having to deal with our current over sensitive culture. I miss the 90s!!!!
I loved Canteen Boy. Lol
Dumbest show ever.
The Chad horror movie one looks hilarious
#1 is a good pick, but “Farewell Mr. Bunting” has to be on this list. Can’t believe it’s not even an honourable mention. Come on, mojo!!!!!!!
Why do you have to have negative opinions of a lot the sketches? Just because they’re dark, doesn’t mean they’re bad. Some of them are hilarious (loved the family feud one). Seems like you were distancing yourselves from the backlash about the subject matter of some of the skits.
Thumbs Down, MOJO!! :( I don't get it... Why are these sketches considered "dark" "controversial" or "disturbing"... When Comedy is purely Subjective and it's an Obvious Parody and Reflection of the society and the world at large? It's obviously a Parody/Satire and Comedy when YOU as the Viewer are IN on the joke? Are you insinuating that Americans aren't smart enough to decide or get the joke? And that you HAVE to Decide what the tone is of the sketch?
Dark humour is like food, not everybody gets it
Damn!!!
I didn't even find the last one that controversial tbh. It might be just me. Any church children here?
If this was an HONEST countdown of 10 darkest SNL sketches ever, most of them would be TV funhouse sketches. Like the Wonderman one especially, where Wonderman kills the man to steal his wife. I honestly was expecting you to put the "most evil invention" sketch at #1. It IS #1 at one thing - it is the BEST SNL sketch ever, I'm not sure I'd call it the darkest though. I think you may want to revisit the OLD SNL sketches, from the 70s and 80s though, to make a fair list. Like there was one from that era, a "jeopardy in the future" sketch, where a bunch of drastic social changes had taken place and they got questions that had answers that revealed that. Like "this practice was legalized in 2010 to alleviate the overpopulation crisis" and the answer given was "what is babykilling", I think Steve Martin was in it, but I can't find it on youtube. Honestly I don't see why anyone has a problem with the evilest invention one, it highlights how silly comic book villains are compared to ACTUAL evil found in the real world, that seems to be the whole point, and it's a good point.
“Im learning thai to meet new people”-rosetta stone sketch
I don't get it, why would they go to thailand just to have sex with a prostitute. That seems like an awful lot of trouble to do something simple and much easier than that.
Oh Dear Tom Hanks
Dark though they may be, these sketches are extremely funny. Seriously, I have three of these currently in my queue. Remember, there's two things that never get old: dark humor and unvaccinated children.
I am just here to comment they were all funny. One thing snl does right once in a while is the dark comedy sketches
Heroin AM with Julia Louise Dreyfuss, Pranksters with Christopher Walken. That's two that I just thought of.
Where's "A Bear Ate My Parents"? Or how about the one with the albino cobras on the flight to Hawaii? I couldn't sleep after watching that one.
So not “caption oh my caption” sketch? The one where Pete’s characters head gets chopped off by a ceiling fan
The Rock saying "Hail Satan" lmao
Meh
It's clear that the person who named this didn't know the difference between darkest and funniest
Mojo still sucks ass. All the real dark sht is way back around the start of snl. MAD TV had nothing but jokes with at least a hint of dark
The xentrex one seems like its making fun of steroids not opiodes
"Almost Pizza" was funnny
Is it bad that I love #1?
This list is missing Will Ferrell as worst boss
Rock is satanist
STOP TALKING SO MUCH
Just show the entire skeches!
I have absolutely NO idea what the last skit was about.
You missed Massive Headwound Harry!
How about the "My Little Stepchildren" commercial parody? Darker than dark...
I loved Canteen Boy, Sandlers' so talented
Actully, the most twisted aspect of the sketch (and possibly of ANY SNL sketch) was this: "How do you even build a child molesting robot!?" "You build a regular robot, molest it, and hope he continues the cycle"
Pc isn't dark more pr companies.
What's really dark? Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier. Clearly you don't understand the definition of dark.
What's really dark? The prosecutor was not allowed to tell the jury what Ted Bundy actually did. The jury only heard an edited nice version of the crimes (to save them the trauma of knowing) and Ted still got the death penalty.
Absolutely nothing dark here at all unless you are a politically correct fascist transvestite. Communist are not allowed to have a sense of humor.
I feel you can't find canteen boy online. It should be at least in the top five.
PC is going to destroy the world. . . . Lets just make laughing illegal and be done with it.
0:33 considering the rock takes steroids by the bucketload , this is spot on
Stupid. I won't watch Mojo ever again
you missed totinos pizza rolls. "whats happened to my hungry guys?!"
I live in NZ and SNL isn’t a thing I’ve seen clips of the shows and in my opinion I don’t find this show funny
Honorable mention: Dan Akroyd in the consumer reports sketch selling bags of glass to kids.
I’m guessing the commercial for action figures base on the movie Philadelphia (Patrick Stewart episode) was too dark for this list.
I Am suprised there isn't any scetchs from the orginal cast
Didn't chance the rapper kill his own parents so he could have friends over?
Oh, BOO HOO! Grow a sense of humor, for Christ's sake! That ad with The Rock was the perfect parody of ALL those stupid drug ads with 6 minutes of side effects we're forced to listen to. All of these were great, and I know someone, somewhere under the age of 37 has got to think something is funny!
How about Jimmy Tango’s Fat Busters with Jim Carrey? That sketch haunted my nightmares!
DARKEST SKETCH! DARKEST SKETCH! DARKEST- whoops, wrong video.
I pity the people who can’t laugh at any of these classics
How about the Uncle Roy segments from the first cast were Buck Henry plays a handsy creepy uncle and the female cast played his nieces? Those were dark and cringey to watch. What does SNL have against ppl name Roy??? 😤
Christopher Walken prankster sketch.
Isn't this a re-upload? I am pretty sure O watches this one or two months ago
Tag you’re it-I think had Jim Belushi
What about the skit where they made fun of that plane crashing into mountain
It wasn't a sketch but it started as one. Can we please talk about the time snl in the 80s did a episode long segment(fake news headlines kept popping up during the episode) that culminated in the entire cast and crew getting fake slaughtered by giant lobsters? NO ONE talks about it but that shit was insane. Saw it on an snl dvd and was very caught off guard. My dad grew up in the 80s but he was shocked, too. Talk about dark.
You missed the one where Bill Hader was shot in the head.
Where's the Children Show with Michael Keaton? B... bu... *but the jukebox!*
Xentrex male enhancement drug commercial is funny, I don’t care what anyone says!!
I just realized how dark my humor is becuase almost all these skits mentioned are my favoutie SNL skits
Lol the rock sketches are great
Canteen Boy is the best. SNL got into so much trouble over that they even lost sponsors & had to make a public apology.
The evil invention is pretty good but I also like the e-meth and the heroin am skits. They've got a true plethora of gut wretching humor and I love it.
Also the sketch about Prophet Muhammad pictionary game was also hilariously dark
The darkest and most hilarious SNL sketch is Canteen Boy and the Scout Master!!
pfft nope, #1 on this list was it, you probably didn't see it
Are you kidding? That was just adam sandler doing his idiot waterboy routine again. Far from being the funniest, I honestly wonder how can anyone even stand the sound of his voice?
I'm sorry but I laughed really hard when I first saw number one.
Sorry, but Canteen Boy should have been number 1
Not a good list. Where’s the Keds commercial?
Terrorists should be mocked. Nothing controversial about it.
No love for Ride The Snake?
Meet your second wife was HILARIOUS
Canteen boy was hilarious!!! Stupid liberals hate everything
Do this list with Mad TV if you want dark. Yule Blazers anyone? Yikes.
"Satire can always be found everywhere. A people without love for satire is a dead people" Dario Fo
DARK EST SKETCH! DARK EST SKETCH!
What's the one with John Goodman and a broadcast of a PBS-type kids' show he stars in that keeps getting interrupted by news reports of him killing his castmates?
5:21 At first, I thought that was David Spade!
Where is wake up and smile
I love the last one, the bait and switch ending worled perfectly, such a random ending for a concept equally as dark.
Happy Smile Patrol was pretty dark.
I've always found Canteen Boy to be the worst.
Anybody remember, "Who Wants to Eat?"
I notice that all these sketches are actually good.
SNL has always been a hit or miss show for me. It can be funny and then not. However if you don't have a good sense of humor this isn't the show for you.
